I paint impressionist landscapes as a way to slow down and pay attention to atmosphere: mist, soft light, and the quiet mood of open spaces. A lot of these pieces are inspired by the idea of early morning meadows, where everything feels muted and dreamy, and then suddenly a few bright notes of colour (usually red poppies) pull you in.
On this page I’m collecting my landscape work in one place, alongside a few behind-the-scenes posts about how I build colour, soften edges, and create that hazy “you could step into it” feeling.
What you’ll see in this series
- Misty meadow landscapes with red poppies
- Soft, diffused light and gentle transitions between sky and land
- Colour studies focused on muted greens/greys/blues with bold warm accents
- A process that balances loose blocking-in with layering, blending, and texture
