About Milena
I’m Milena Skulimowska, a visual artist based in Southend-on-Sea, Essex. I create cat artwork and nature-inspired paintings that celebrate everyday moments, character, and colour.
What I create
My work is centred around two themes:
- Cat art: expressive studies, playful portraits, and pieces that capture personality and mood
- Nature-inspired paintings: birds, botanicals, and outdoor scenes, often exploring light, texture, and colour
Mediums and style
I work mainly in acrylic (and occasionally colour studies and experiments as part of my process). I enjoy building bold, clean colour relationships and adding detail that brings a subject to life without overworking it.
Commissions
I take a limited number of commissions for original artwork.
If you would like to commission a piece, please share:
- The subject (for example: a cat portrait, a bird, or a nature scene)
- Preferred size and any deadline
- A few reference photos (if relevant)
You can find full details here: Commission Information.
Location and delivery
I’m based in Southend-on-Sea (Essex). UK and international delivery available (shipping costs vary by destination and local collection can be arranged where suitable.
